Join SkyMuseum – Seeking Exceptional Musicians for a Transformative Musical Journey
SkyMuseum is currently seeking skilled Guitarists (Lead and Rhythm) and Bassists to join our progressive music collective. Drawing influence from Progressive Metal, Alternative Rock, Grunge, Synthwave, and Ethereal soundscapes, we are committed to crafting immersive, emotionally charged music that explores themes of inner transformation, existentialism, and the cosmic unknown — fusing aggressive riffs with atmospheric soundscapes.
Collaborating with seasoned musicians and industry professionals, we are driven by innovation, creative exploration, and uncompromising musical excellence. If you are a dedicated, forward-thinking musician ready to be part of a band that challenges norms and embraces originality, we want to hear from you.
What We Offer
-
Collaborative, Artist-Driven Environment: A space where your ideas, talent, and voice are genuinely valued.
-
Live Performance Opportunities: From NYC venues to international stages.
-
Original Music Creation: Contribute to an evolving catalog of dynamic, original compositions.
-
Industry Connections: Work alongside experienced producers, engineers, and musicians.
-
Compensation Structure: Members are paid a percentage of show earnings, with royalty percentages applied per-song for collaborative writing contributions. Details will be discussed in person upon selection.
-
Defined Project Vision: A serious, professional project with long-term goals of label partnerships, multi-media releases, and international touring opportunities.
Commitment Expectations
-
Rehearsals: Typically held once a week or every other week as needed, either at a home studio or professional rehearsal space chosen based on convenience and fair travel distances for all members.
-
Personal Practice: All band members are expected to learn assigned songs independently prior to rehearsals. Full band rehearsals will focus on tightening performance dynamics, live arrangements, and collaborative songwriting, not learning parts from scratch.

Availability: Must be available for weekend shows, recording sessions, and occasional regional travel.
-
Agreement Form: All selected members must be willing to sign an agreement covering expectations, compensation, intellectual property, and conduct guidelines.
Technical Requirements
-
For Guitarists & Bassists: Ability to perform songs requiring 7 or 8-string guitars and 5 or 6-string basses is preferred. A drop pedal is acceptable if extended-range instruments aren’t available.
-
Rig Compatibility: Must be comfortable performing with backing tracks, in-ear monitoring, and willing to invest in technology necessary to automate live performances (e.g., Helix, Axe FX, Kemper, or track-compatible rigs preferred).
-
Software: Familiarity with Ableton Live (or willingness to learn) for track playback and automation is a plus.

Creative Culture & Process
We operate as a collaborative, progressive project, where ideas and recordings can be exchanged remotely through file sharing. Pre-written material is often shared for members to embellish, reinterpret, or enhance, and occasional in-person jam sessions foster creative chemistry and new song ideas. Our current DAW is FL Studio, with flexibility for collaborators to use compatible software for remote sessions.
Estimated Upcoming Projects & Timeline
We are actively preparing for a full-length album release utilizing a waterfall single-release system by the end of this year. Our long-term goal is to complete and release a new full-length album approximately every two years, supported by consistent single releases and live performances throughout each cycle.
