About Us
SkyMuseum – Official Band Bio
SkyMuseum was formed in 2022 in New York City by YenYorkCity (vocals) and LunaSoturi (drums/producer). Blending the raw edge of Progressive Metal, Synth, Industrial, Alternative Rock, and Ethereal Soundscapes, the band pushes boundaries with a sound that is both heavy and atmospheric. Their mission is simple: to create immersive experiences that bridge the visceral impact of live rock with the expansive depth of conceptual storytelling.

SkyMuseum has already earned performance experience at venues such as The Delancey, Dingbatz, 1604 Boradway Times Square, and Wonderplace Alpha. Their evolving live shows reflect their focus, drive, and commitment to professionalism on stage and off.

Lore

Beyond music, SkyMuseum is building a world of narrative-driven storytelling. Through a growing mini-series of skits, the band reveals encounters with interdimensional beings, fractured timelines, and looming cosmic threats. The story follows the Anachronists — Yen and Luna — as they stabilize the timeline.

Currently, the saga has unfolded to reveal the band’s mysterious connection to prophecy, the arrival of a Cyborg temporarily filling Luna’s absence, and foreshadowing of a greater convergence tied to their upcoming concept album. Each skit leads deeper into the lore, eventually merging with their music releases to create a multimedia experience unlike any other.

Lore Based Members

Callisto – Keeper of Rhythm (Temporary Member)
When Luna was pulled into the Cyborg’s dimension, the timeline fractured, and Callisto emerged as a stabilizer to hold the beat in Luna’s absence. A guardian of rhythm, Callisto’s presence is deeply tied to the lore of SkyMuseum — less a replacement, more a cosmic placeholder ensuring the music continues to flow while the Anachronists fight to restore balance. Callisto embodies both mystery and reliability, anchoring the timeline until Luna’s return.

J.E.D.D. – Cybernetic Bassist (Temporary Member)
An experimental addition to SkyMuseum’s lineup, J.E.D.D. is an synthetic cybernetic bassist designed to deliver groove, depth, and dynamic low-end textures. Serving as a temporary member until a permanent bassist joins, J.E.D.D. represents the band’s embrace of technology as both a tool and a creative partner.

Z.E.D.D. – Cybernetic Guitarist (Temporary Member)
Z.E.D.D. is SkyMuseum’s synthetic cybernetic guitarist, capable of weaving layered riffs and experimental tones into the band’s evolving sound. Like J.E.D.D., Z.E.D.D. fills the role of a full-time guitarist for now, acting as both a creative experiment and a narrative tie-in to the band’s larger lore of blending human and artificial creativity.

Members & Influences

Yen York – Vocals · Lyricist · Producer
A native New Yorker, Yen is the expressive voice and sonic architect behind SkyMuseum. Drawing inspiration from vocalists like Shirley Manson (Garbage), Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star), Maynard James Keenan, Jeff Buckley, and Chino Moreno (Deftones), Yen shapes the band’s identity with poetic lyrics and bold production choices that deepen the emotional core of each track. Her vision pushes the band toward innovation while keeping its sound rooted in raw emotion.

Luna Soturi – Drums · Engineer · Graphic Designer · Producer
With roots in progressive and technical drumming, Luna brings both fire and finesse to the rhythm section. His playing is influenced by greats such as Mike Portnoy, Benny Greb, and Marco Minnemann. Luna’s precision, creativity, and rhythmic instincts provide SkyMuseum with its pulse — both in the studio and on stage — while his skills in engineering and design further shape the band’s sound and visuals.
